Second Skin

Second skin is a term I hear associated with fashion often. Just meaning clothes fit like a glove and feel like a second skin. However, to my weight losing self, it's taken on a whole new definition. (And not like some sideshow freak!) Allow me to explain this strange concept.
The 3 main components of today's outfit (top, skirt, and cardigan) are all pieces I've owned for over a year and have been with me through all my size changes. They each fit when I bought them, but at this point, they're nothing but over-sized and are on their way out of my closet. I put them each together for one last outfit to celebrate their life. It was weird doing it though because it was like putting on old skin, a second skin if you will from a previous time in my life. Nothing mentally has changed about me in the last 7 months but I have definitely noticed all the physical changes. It's just the weirdest thing to me!

On that note, I plan on posting a health update very soon. I didn't realize it's been so long and I have a lot to catch you all up on! The only thing constant with me these days is change.

I love how you're growing with your change! I think you look absolutely amazing and I love the mix of patterns and textures of your outfit. I don't know why, but I've always hated the word skin haha. It grosses me out? I guess it's because animals shed theirs (ok, now I'm going to puke) so it's just an awkward feeling to me ahaha.
